Our Team

Tony Rossetti, Owner/Operator

Born into a family of contractors, Tony Rossetti has more than 40 years of construction experience. Before founding TR Construction, he worked with several large San Diego contractors on commercial and residential projects in the area.

In 1994, he decided to form TR Construction after noticing a need in the residential sector. His goal was to help build his community by providing top-quality workmanship that homeowners could rely on.

Tony is a hands-on owner. He spends much of his time making sure every project lives up to his exacting standards. He has a rock-solid reputation for standing by his work, giving fair and honest advice, listening to concerns, and putting the customer first.

Tony was raised in San Diego and is dedicated to his community. In fact, his office is just a few blocks from where he went to school at Walker Elementary. Tony is very familiar with the homes in the area and can give you a history lesson on the different developments and how they were built. This familiarity often comes in handy when problem-solving on the job site.

In high school, Tony spent his summers working construction with his uncle in New York. After graduating from Mira Mesa High School in 1983, Tony worked with his uncle for five years. While in New York, Tony worked on projects like the Museum of Natural History and Grand Central Station. He also became a journeyman union carpenter.

When Tony returned to San Diego, he was quickly hired as a project superintendent for a local construction company. After working in San Diego for several years, Tony got his own license and started TR Construction in 1994. TR Construction has been in business for 27 years and counting.

TR Construction is family-owned and operated. Family has always been important to Tony. He loves to spend time with his family and have his kids over for big BBQs.

When Tony isn’t driving all over San Diego in his truck for work, you can find him at the beach or bike riding along the boardwalk. He used to play for the Mira Mesa High School varsity baseball team and has always liked to keep active. His hobbies include working in the yard, hiking, and racquetball.

One of Tony’s favorite things about his job is all the relationships he has formed over the years. Many of his clients are return clients with whom he has worked for decades. He’s even had the pleasure of working on the homes of his former coaches and teachers, friends, and people he grew up with. For Tony, everything he does is geared towards a long-term commitment to his community and his home.
